Dev Diary: Week #1

Ahem, as I already announced on Discord days ago, here is the first public DD.

From now on, in the middle of the week (approximately) I will make a public DD and on the weekend another one exclusive for Patreon. The difference is that this one will be short and without spoilers or with sfw spoilers.

That said... See ya! Nah.

I have to explain something I already explained in the other diary but it's going to be in a very short form:

I've been a few weeks mentally blocked due to the great idea and want to implement it 100% in this version: The easy mode.

This mode will basically consist of turning LA into a 99% ordinary visual novel. In short, in the next version, there will be three difficulties: easy, normal, hard.


- Easy mode -

As I say, the RPG aspect will change and everything will cost gold with a much-reduced price so you can focus on what's happening in LA. I'll give details in the changelog but for example, girls level up every time you spend time with them (no matter the stat), the inventory is summed up in gold, affinity points, and moon essences, crafting doesn't exist (you can only "craft" toys), upgrades will be temporarily disabled, perks don't exist, the specialization leveling system doesn't exist... and in short anything RPG style except for stats and proof of trust if you consider the proof thing an RPG aspect. Oh, and day system, of course.


- Normal -

Little to say here. It's the mode you know but you'll find small differences to what you're used to: The gold and materials you need for anything are rebalanced to make it RPG but smooth so to speak. Oh yeah, pussygrind is gone and so are the hard achievements. More details below.


- Hard -

From this version onwards this mode is going to be my "sanctuary" to make the game the way I really want it and will be a mode suitable for those who enjoy farm/grind for both H and non-H rewards. There will be exclusive content for this mode.

The most notable change is the reinstatement of rollback and saving wherever you want but... there will be the option to disable that and leave it as it is currently in exchange for some benefits.

Even making everything more "grind" won't be tedious either as you will notice a progress curve as you progress through the story (especially in this new version with the pre-introduction of a new feature).


- Difficulty transfer -

Why do you remove pussygrind and hard achievements on other difficulties? The answer is simple: Difficulty transfer is born. How does it work? Simple:

If you play on normal you can transfer your game to another difficulty, for example hard (or easy). This way you don't need to start a new game if you are too lazy.

The same if you play on hard.

For easy, until further notice, it will not be possible to transfer to another difficulty as this mode has a unique code and is now a bit of a mess (it's not just a matter of setting a variable to "False" and that's it).

The notable thing about this is that only one transfer per game (slot) is allowed so it will be advisable to save before making any transfers.

This is something that once set will always exist, it will never change. The purpose is so that I can have the freedom to add exclusive content on hard without having to think about whether it's fair or not because yes, you who are reading me and don't want to start another game, this is made for you.

I must clarify that the exclusive content on hard does not and will not interfere with the main content, it is extra spicy and interesting content, but relax, on hard you won't be able to have sex with Lisapi even if you pay a million tokens, but... you will be able to see how she plays with herself while you visit her wink.

Also clarify that even if you transfer a game from normal to hard, starting from scratch on hard will always give you a bigger advantage as it is designed and intended that way.


With all this explained, I'm ending the first public DD which is a bit longer than it usually will be, but it was necessary. 

I won't leave without telling you in a very short way what I've been doing these days since my mental block disappeared:

  • I'm working on the rework of the hard mode, currently, I already have fully functional the new shop that will be there and the tokens are also functional. 
  • These tokens will be called "Bravery tokens" and will be used in the new shop to unlock extra content.
  • I also have almost 100% finished the mood system for this mode which I will explain in more detail later.
  • I still have a lot to do but I hope to be able to finish everything related to the hard mode in a few days. The most tedious thing will be to make the punishments aka pregnancy (optional to see).

Oh, yes, the easy mode is 100% functional, just need to polish some details and test.

Once everything mentioned above is finished, I will work on the new main quest of this version which will be related to Enya and the Moonstars.
